Madrid, Feb 15 .- Spanish police and health workers were on Wednesday called to a Madrid hotel where former Argentine soccer star Diego Armando Maradona and his partner were reportedly involved in a heated argument.

Police and medical professionals were called to the Eurostars Mirasierra Suite at 8:30 am local time after they were alerted to the apparent incident involving the couple.

Upon arrival at the scene, doctors found neither Maradona nor his partner was injured, while police found that neither party wanted to file a complaint.

Maradona was in the Spanish capital for an upcoming Champions League match between Real Madrid and Napoli set for Wednesday evening.

The retired footballer played for the Italian club during his soccer career.  (EFE)
